We know that you'll have questions that can't be answered just by our website or by a glossy viewbook. The best resources on the Bowdoin student experience are Bowdoin students themselves.

Here's an opportunity to have ongoing contact with a current Bowdoin student, one who has first-hand insight and can tell you about the professors, the courseload, campus housing, the social life, the ins-and-outs. The students below are available via email to answer all of your questions.

Jordan FranckeJordan Francke ‘13

Hometown: Henderson, KY / Presque Isle, ME
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Spanish

I was born in Henderson, KY and then moved to Presque Isle, ME when I was ten years old.  After visiting Bowdoin for a weekend during the college application process, I quickly realized that Bowdoin would be the perfect place for me to go to college. I'm a neuroscience major with hopes of pursuing a career in medicine following my time at Bowdoin. I'm a proctor (a First-Year RA) for Residential Life, a vice president of Bowdoin Student Government, and a Tour Guide. I'm also very involved with the McKeen Center, Bowdoin's on-campus center for civic engagement. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you have about the Bowdoin experience!

Hometown: New York, NY
Major: Sociology & Music
Minor: Education

I'd never thought that I would leave New York City for a college in a small town in Maine, but I couldn't ignore all that Bowdoin has to offer - and I've never been happier. I plan on declaring a double major in Music and Sociology with a teaching minor in Education. Following my graduation, I hope to teach and work in education policy. But for now, I'm a member of the Chamber Choir, as well as Minister of Public Relations for the African-American Society. I'm also involved with the Bowdoin Queer-Straight Alliance, World Music Ensemble, and several other groups on campus. Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions about life at this great college!
